The Stamford & Peterborough Partnership has run a number of activities this year. We have taken large numbers of Years 11–13 students to three Cambridge lectures involving talks on the large hadron collider, polonium 20 and dark matter. The Year 9 visit to the National Space Centre went incredibly well, involving masterclasses and a tour. There was the Big Bang Event at the NEC in Birmingham for a group of Year 8s involving exciting demonstrations and lectures. We concluded the year with a rocket day at Deeping's School. The students built chemical rockets which included a parachute for safe return. The students were amazed by the height that they were propelled. There was also a large scale Starchaser rocket for the students to see.
