This year we will be in our fourth year as a secondary partnership. Last year three schools in our partnership took groups to CERN, always a wonderful trip and a great opportunity for nearly 100 students to see the world’s largest experiment in action. We have also been involved in a fantastic Erasmus+ programme to work with schools in Germany, France, Poland and Denmark for a student team to look into the question ‘Is Fusion energy the clean energy source of the future?’
We continued to work with Capital Physics to lead a termly teacher CPD event; we also delivered the Ogden Primary Forces CPD as well as having termly science-led meetings last year. We continued a strong range of activities in schools and partnership-wide events including a Christmas lecture celebrating Einstein’s revolutionary ideas which filled our main hall to standing room only!
