After our official re-launch in 2014, the partnership goes from strength to strength and we are pleased to report a real enthusiasm for science from both teachers and students. We have developed our activities over the last few years and respond to current science news. We are currently preparing for our annual primary science conference. Held on a Saturday, we are expecting over 300 KS2 children to come and enjoy keynote talks and a series of hands-on workshops. We have recently developed Space Camps (with support from the University of Leicester) and Moon Days to allow children to experience science through practical activities using space as a context for their learning. The partnership organises workshops, quizzes, trips, science fairs and teacher CPD sessions within each of the partnership schools and the participation rate is growing. We collaborate with local secondary providers, and successfully share activities and resources amongst our partnership primary schools.
