The Ogden Primary Science programme is centred around a growing network of primary schools partnerships. These partnerships strive to bring primary science to prominence and are furnishing a growing number of non-specialist primary teachers with the skills and resources they need to deliver exciting, engaging lessons in the physical sciences.
These partnerships are supported by a network of Ogden primary consultants and representatives, as well as Ogden Science Officers in universities across the UK.
Each partnership is led by a single school, and draws together a broad and diverse range of partner schools and education institutions to form a strategic local steering group. The partnerships undertake a range of collaborative events and activities, some addressing national priorities in science and others specific to local conditions and requirements. Five core strategies/aims underpin these partnerships and are central to the Ogden Primary Programme.
