In 2016, Michael Entwistle undertook a Create Your Own Internship at the University of York. The work he was able to undertake built on his undergraduate research.
“This internship provided me with the opportunity to write a paper that has been submitted to Physical Review,” wrote Michael when he reported on his experiences at the end of his placement. “My Ogden internship enabled me to achieve some impressive further results which hopefully will be extended into my PhD.”
Now, Michael has started his PhD, his Report has been published and he has a first author credit to his name.
The Ogden Summer Internships scheme 2017 is now open for applications. If you are an Ogden alumni and have found your perfect summer project, funding may be available through the Ogden Create Your Own Internship scheme.
